The highest town in the Czech republic and most important center of winter sports in Ore mountains. The town from 16th century was rebuilt in 19th century after the fire. From the older times the late Baroque church has preserved. In the saddle between Klínovec and Fichtenberg there is the boarder crossing with Germany. In the neigbourhood of the town there occurs the natural preserve - peat-bog Božidarské with the highest basalt pile in Europe.
